I'm so excited for Alice In Wonderland! Tim Burton is such a genius and these movie posters are amazing. Although I'm sure it won't top my favorite, The Nightmare Before Christmas. What's your favorite Burton flick?

Klaus Von Nichtssagend
Yesterday I visited Ingrid, one of the owners of the Klaus Von Nichtssagend Gallery. Currently, they are showing Ian Pedigo's third solo exhibition with the gallery, titled Accumulations of Matter. His work "addresses the life of objects and the totality of the spaces within which they are contained". The show runs through Feburary 14th so definitely check it out, and the gallery is located at 438 Union Avenue in Williamsburg.

The Tower of Infinite Problems
Yesterday, I met with artist Diana Al-Hadid at her studio in Williamsburg. Let me start by saying that her work is simply incredible! She is most famous for her sculptures but she also does drawings and prints as well. Her sculptures are huge pieces so to see Diana in person was quite interesting because she is a petite girl, who does all the work herself. She was so sweet and she showed me around her lovely studio, even showing me her works in progress. You can check out her work on her website and if you're in LA, see her exhibit at the Hammer Museum at UCLA in March.

Be Free
Just saw the Broadway show Hair with AJ. I thought it was horrible. I wish I was a 60's child...sigh.

The View From The Wrong Side Of The Road
Back from Nice and had the best time! It was so beautiful over there and I met so many great people. It's nice to be home though and I definitely plan to revisit. All the stereotypes of French people that I had heard about could not have been more false! Lola, thanks for all the hospitality and being my personal French translator! Here are some photos from my time abroad:

Some Blenders Are Badasses And Some Are Not
Marc Johns is the artist of these charming, weird, yet funny drawings. His bio reads, " Hi, I'm Marc. I've been putting my drawings on the interweb since around October 2006, but I've been drawing since I was tiny. I'm not tiny anymore, but I'm not very big either." Who Did They Wear?
The 2010 Golden Globes has arrived, and of course the most important thing is not who won the awards, but who looked the best and who looked a complete mess(joke, kind of). Overall, I must admit to being slightly disappointed with the dresses this year. There were a few success stories but for the most part I thought the dresses were just okay.
Mistakes:
Fergie- Elie Saab gown and Harry Winston diamonds
Olivia Wilde- Gucci gown, Tiffany & Co. jewelry, Judith Leiber clutch, and Jimmy Choo sandals
Chloe Sevigny- Valentino gown and Roger Vivier clutch
My Fashion Favorites:
Diane Kruger- Christian Lacroix gown, Chanel jewelry, and Raven Kauffman Couture clutch
Emily Blunt- Dolce & Gabbana gown, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, and Ferragamo clutch
Maggie Gyllenhaal- RM by Roland Mouret gown and Bvlgari jewelry

Auf Wiedersehen
I'm off to Palm Beach today for the weekend! Last night I had to say goodbye to a lot of my friends, which was quite sad, and won't see most of them until the summer, how bizarre how bizarre... Last night I had dinner at Haru, followed by drinks and nutella pizza at Mamma Mia, and then met up with the crew at Dan & Eddies for more drinks, where the highlight of my night was a 60 year old man telling my girlfriend he wished she had a penis.
Below I've posted the music video for the song "Ambling Alp" by Yeasayer, just because it's awesome.

R.I.P. Jay Reatard
So Sad! Memphis rocker Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr, better known as Jay Reatard, died today at age 29. I never was really into punk/garage rock but I always did enjoy his music, especially his albums Blood Visions and Matador Singles '08. Below I posted a clip from his latest documentary Waiting For Something directed by Alex Hammond & Ian Markiewicz.
